The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently checking out the Fernie two Community Hall in Mpuluzi to render solutions into the community.

SASSA is going to be rendering services such as new social grant applications, change of payment method, consumer treatment enquiries, together with the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.

In a statement, the agency explained it is alarmed concerning the significant number of people counting on social grants for survival.
“The purpose from the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to some significant range of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.

“This is often due to lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there's no totally functional office committed to service the area regularly. The service point designed for intervention activities a significant inflow of probable beneficiaries, that makes it tricky for that Workplace to SRD attend to all people who take a look at a service point.
